The Henley Royal Regatta

For over a century and a half, The Henley Royal Regatta has been the essence of an English social event. Situated on such a beautiful stretch of the River Thames, this event provides an ideal medium for business entertainment.

Gala Events are pleased to offer a complete hospitality package for the week which this year runs between Wednesday 30 June and Sunday 4th July 2010.

Day’s Itinerary

• 10am-11am; Guests are welcomed at Bird Place, Henley on Thames. This is an exclusive 3-acre riverside facility amidst the beautiful grounds of a Tudor mansion with late Georgian additions. The house and grounds are adjacent to Regatta HQ and Henley Bridge. Morning coffee and Danish pastries are enjoyed in the marquee, whilst you are entertained by a traditional jazz band on the lawns.
• 11am- 1pm; A pimms, bucks fizz and a Canard-Duchene Champagne reception will be served on board one of the elegant river vessels, from where you will have the opportunity to enjoy the rowing and wonderful atmosphere.
• 1pm; Your boat will return to it’s riverside facility at Bird Place, where a four course lunch with fine wines will be served.
• 3pm; The boat will begin its afternoon cruise, taking you upstream and after passing the finish line, you will be able to take in the views of Henley Town Centre, before the vessel navigates Rod Eyot Island. The boat will then cruise the entire length of the course, allowing guests to take in views of the Stewards Enclosure and Temple Island. After passing the start line, your vessel will turn and return her moorings at Bird Place. There will be a full complimentary bar throughout the cruise and the day in general.
• 4.30pm; Upon arrival at Bird Place, a classic English Afternoon Cream tea will be served on board your boat.
• 6pm; Guests depart

• Hotel accommodation and transport can also be arranged. Prices available on request.
• There is a complimentary shuttle bus service that operates from Henley Station to the hospitality village during the morning (9.30 -10.45am) and returning to Henley Station at the end of the day (4.30 – 6.30pm).
