Gala Events and Warwickshire County Cricket Club jointly hosted a Gold Cup themed afternoon at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Friday 18 March 2011.

Guests were greeted on arrival by the fantastic live Irish band 'Celtic Clan', who helped to create a wonderful atmosphere. After a delicious three course lunch, clients were able to listen to some amusing stories from the former England footballer, Paul Merson and the former Snooker World Champion, Dennis Taylor.

Racing tipster, Michael Appleby gave some tips to where guests should place their money, before the giant screen in the room, gave coverage of the day's seven races from Cheltenham Racecourse.

Ladbrokes provided betting opportunities for guests to back their favourite horses, which all added to the entertainment in what was a memorable afternoon.
