The most exciting British Lions Tour yet?
Every time those red shirts head down under, action and drama are never far behind. But summer 2025 promises a Lions Tour for the ages. Hard to believe, it’s been twelve years since the Wallabies last hosted the Lions. Now, with a nine-match warm-up itinerary topped by three test matches on 19 and 26th July and 2nd August, hosts and visitors alike will be looking to make their mark.
As always, expect the Wallabies to come out all guns blazing. But with Andy Farrell’s Lions side boasting a fistful of legends-in-waiting – from England’s ferocious Ben Earl and Scotland’s silky-skilled Finn Russell to Wales’ Six Nations standout star Aaron Wainwright and Ireland’s game-changing powerhouse hooker Dan Sheehan – these big cats bite.
British Lions hospitality lunch on 9th July – book now for big-screen action, live A-list analysis and gourmet dining at London’s most iconic hotel
Gala’s rugby sporting lunches are the stuff of legend – but for the Lions Tour 2025, we’re upping the ante. Because travelling to Australia isn’t feasible for everyone, we’ll bring the action to you with our Lions Lunch on 9th July.
Imagine yourself and your clients arriving at the iconic Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in the morning sun. We’ll greet you with a piping-hot coffee and a breakfast bap, before leading you to the Great Room where our state-of-the-art big screen awaits. And this is when things get serious. Because the clash against Canberra-based ACT Brumbies is no mere exhibition match but a stern test of the Lions’ mettle before they’re plunged into the tests.
“ACT Brumbies are one of the top Australian sides and this is going to be the toughest game the Lions will play before the tests,” explains Gala’s founder and CEO, Alan George. “We’ll watch the game, and we’ll have a Lions legend from each of the four nations there. Get ready to welcome England’s World Cup winner Lawrence Dallaglio, Welsh two-time Lions captain Sam Warburton, the iconic Irish fly half Ronan O’Gara and former Scotland captain Stuart Hogg – all compèred by Sky Sports’ Pete Graves.”
When the final whistle blows, there’ll be plenty to discuss – over a delicious three course meal with complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks. “This is so much more than a sporting lunch,” continues Alan, “because you’ve got the screening of the game followed by expert analysis from our panel. So it should be a really cracking event at one of London’s top hotels.”
