Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock
One of English football’s most recognisable characters, Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock enjoyed a colourful career spanning some of the biggest clubs in the country. A tough-tackling and uncompromising defender, Ruddock made his name with the likes of Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, West Ham United and Crystal Palace, while also representing England at international level. Known as much for his larger-than-life personality and straight-talking sense of humour as his performances on the pitch, Ruddock became a firm favourite with football fans throughout the 1990s. His career saw him play at the highest level of the English game, while his entertaining personality has since made him a popular figure on television and at sporting events.
Julian Dicks
A legendary figure at West Ham United, Julian Dicks was one of the most formidable defenders of his generation and became a hugely popular figure among football supporters. Known for his powerful presence, fierce tackling and outstanding left foot, Dicks enjoyed two spells with West Ham and became a key figure during his time at the club. He also represented Birmingham City and Liverpool, before returning to West Ham, where he further cemented his status as a club favourite. Dicks was renowned for his ability from set pieces and his fearless style of play, while his passionate approach to the game made him one of the most memorable characters of his era. Away from the pitch, Dicks has continued to be a popular guest at sporting events, offering fascinating insight into professional football and plenty of entertaining stories from his career.
Dave Fulton (Host)
Dave enjoyed a 15-year professional cricket career with Kent, playing in 200 First Class matches with an average in the high 30s, and over 100 one day games. His best season came in 2001, when he scored an incredible 1892 First Class runs at an average of just under 76, being crowned PCA Player of the Year. Since retiring from the game in 2006, Dave has forged a career as a cricket journalist and event host, appearing regularly on Sky Sports’ cricket coverage and Sky Sports News. A huge sports fan, David has previously hosted our Lord’s Long Room and Birmingham Gold Cup Lunches on numerous occasions, as well as a number of boxing, darts and football events.
Edgbaston Stadium
We are delighted to be holding our event in the Banqueting Suite at Edgbaston Stadium, which is a fantastic large facility, perfectly suited to our event. This is the stadium’s premium pitch-facing facility, enjoying magnificent views over the middle, and plenty of natural light.
