Don’t forget to check out our upcoming Sporting Dinners and Boxing Hospitality!

At Gala Events we are used to bringing our clients together with some of the biggest names in sport, but this was an extra special treat as part of our Dillian Whyte Hospitality we welcomed all-round superstar and unbeaten British heavyweight, Tyson Fury, as our pre-fight heavyweight boxing hospitality star guest. Topping the billing on fight night, another Briton with his eyes on a world title shot, Dillian Whyte, stepped into the ring with unbeaten Cuban star, Oscar Rivas.

Guests joined Tyson Fury in enjoying 5 star heavyweight boxing hospitality in the Riverview Suite at the O2 Intercontinental as part of the Dillian Whyte Hospitality with a three course dinner and pre-fight complimentary bar for four hours. Tyson Fury was just fantastic, seguing from stories from his own career and his ambitions, and providing insightful analysis of the evening’s match-ups, particularly the one featuring his British rival, Dillian Whyte. It’s easy to see why Tyson is regarded as being one of the biggest stars in the sporting world, let alone the boxing community!

The feature fight did not let us down, with a great performance from Rivas, the Cuban underdog, who managed to knock down The Bodysnatcher in the ninth round. But the Briton was too strong in the end winning a unanimous points decision and enhancing further his reputation. With only one defeat in his entire career, a 2015 loss to Anthony Joshua, surely the time has come for Dillian to get the world title shot he deserves?

A strong undercard saw Dereck Chisora knock out Polish challenger Artur Szpilka early on whilst David Price won a fascinating battle with fellow Brit Dave Allen. There were also a good win for future world title hope Lawrence Okolie.

But it was all about Dillian Whyte on the night. Who wouldn’t want to see a mouth-watering encounter between the Brixton banger and Tyson Fury in the next year or two?
