We were thrilled to run our own 70 person lounge at Edgbaston for Friends Life T20 Finals Day on 17 August 2013.
Our special guest for the day was the England Spinner, Graeme Swann who took part in an entertaining Question and Answer session, which was hosted by BRMB/Free and Talksport Radio’s Adam Bridge. Swann shared some amusing stories and also talked about what it meant to him to win the Ashes. Each group also had an opportunity for a photo with him.
Guests enjoyed an action packed day with both semi finals and the final all taking place in the same day! Northants beat Essex by 7 wickets with 11 balls remaining in the first semi final, before Surrey beat Hampshire by 4 wickets with 4 balls remaining in the other. Northants then beat Surrey in the final by 102 runs, with All-Rounder David Willey scoring 60 off 27 balls and taking 4 wickets for 9 runs with the ball, to take the man of the match award.
Guests enjoyed a variety of catering throughout the day, including a breakfast bap on arrival, three course lunch, afternoon sandwiches and cakes and an evening hot pork roll.
