London Gold Cup Lunch 2022

Our annual London Gold Cup Lunch is a feast of sport as we are joined by sporting legends to witness the best day of Jumps racing of the year! In 2022 we were joined by former world boxing champion David “The Hayemaker” Haye and Arsenal legend and former England forward Paul Merson. With bookmakers in the room, racing tips from Grand National-winning former jockey Brendan Powell, live music from our Irish band, a three course dinner and complimentary bar, and loads of football, boxing and racing chat, this is always one of our favourite events of the year!

The racing, beamed on our giant screens at our London Cup Lunch 2022, didn’t disappoint as the Cheltenham Gold Cup was won in thrilling fashion by the 3-1 favourite A Plus Tard, ridden by Rachel Blackmore, who became the first female jockey to achieve the feat. With three other favourites going in across the seven race card, the in-room bookies were paying out hand over fist to many lucky clients in the room! It was great to hear from David and Paul about their respective careers at the top, Pete Graves got some hilarious stories from our two stars and everyone had a cracking day!
