Carl Frampton
Carl Frampton is one of Northern Ireland’s most celebrated professional boxers and a former two-weight world champion. Known as “The Jackal,” Frampton enjoyed a highly successful career competing in the super bantamweight and featherweight divisions, earning a reputation for his skill, toughness and tactical intelligence inside the ring.
Frampton won his first world title in 2014 when he defeated Kiko Martínez to claim the IBF super bantamweight championship, before unifying the division with a victory over Scott Quigg in a historic all-British clash. In 2016 he moved up to featherweight and defeated Leo Santa Cruz to win the WBA title, becoming Northern Ireland’s first ever two-weight world champion.
Throughout his career, Frampton headlined major events on both sides of the Atlantic and built a loyal following thanks to his exciting fighting style and humble personality. After retiring from professional boxing in 2021, he has remained a respected figure in the sport as a pundit, ambassador and mentor to the next generation of fighters.
