Celebrity Golf Classic 2024 – Great Golf Hospitality

The Celebrity Golf Classic 2024 was held at the stunning Royal Lytham & St Annes on the 11th of July. Our golf hospitality special guests for the day were former Spurs, Manchester United and England striker Teddy Sheringham and the Ashes winning former Durham and England fast bowler Steve Harmison.

The day began with the golf-fourballs with our special guests playing as part of two of the groupings. The standard among the golfers on the day was very high, with Teddy Sheringham particularly impressive playing off his handicap of just 4!

After the golf was completed, it was time for the evening entertainment which included presenting the Celebrity Golf Classic 2024 awards to the winning golfers and a delicious three course dinner. Then followed a fascinating Q&A with our star guests, with revealing and entertaining stories from both sporting legends in abundance. Amongst the anecdotes Steve Harmison talked about the incredible Ashes  series of 2005, the jubilant aftermath and how he helped to guide Freddie Flintoff through the bus tour and celebrations that followed.

Teddy Sheringham spoke about the incredible last gasp Champions League win with Manchester United and his time with England, particularly focussing on how much enjoyed playing for his country alongside strike partner Alan Shearer, making special mention to some memorable moments during the unforgettable summer of Euro 96.
