Lord’s Long Room Lunch 2022

Our Lord’s Long Room Lunch is one of our classiest events, just being in the inner sanctum of the world’s most famous cricket ground is a treat in itself, and the catering and service are befitting of this magnificent venue. In 2022 we were honoured to be joined by two of the key players from England’s 2019 ODI World Cup-winning team, Jos Buttler and Jason Roy, with our panel being made up by fiery former England all-rounder Darren Gough. To have the two men who between them performed the final winning act in the World Cup, when Jason threw under enormous pressure to Jos to run out Martin Guptill for victory, with us for the day was thrilling for the cricket-loving guests in the room.

The old warhorse Goughie is always great value as a speaker, and he didn’t disappoint this time with some hilarious stories whilst enjoying a few beers. Our host David Fulton, a top class batsman for Kent in his day, was in his element as he interviewed Jos and Jason about the experience of 2019 and what it was like to play in such a breath-taking and memorable final. Just a wonderful day for everyone present, we look forward with relish to the 10th anniversary of our Lord’s Long Room Lunch in 2023 when our panel will be previewing The Ashes!
