Teddy Sheringham
Teddy enjoyed an astonishing professional career spanning 25 years, with almost 1000 appearances in club and international matches. A prolific striker, he scored over 350 goals, including 22 in the second over Premier League season of 1992-93, landing him the Golden Boot. His most successful spell came at Manchester Utd, where he won 3 consecutive Premier League titles between 1998-2001, and an FA Cup in 1999. Four days after the FA Cup triumph Teddy scored a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final, then with seconds remaining, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored from the famous treble-clinching winner from Sheringham’s flick on. Amidst his time at the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League, regarded as a legend at White Hart Lane, his two spells at Spurs saw very prolific, with 125 goals in 277 appearances. Despite not winning his first cap until 27, Teddy had an excellent England career with 11 goals in 51 matches, the highlight being the SAS partnership with Alan Shearer in 1996, when England made the semi-finals, including a 4-1 destruction of Holland, which we are sure to hear more about from our two legends on the day!
Nicky Butt
Nicky Butt was a key figure in one of English football’s most successful eras, earning 39 caps for England and playing an integral role in Manchester United’s iconic “Class of ’92” under Sir Alex Ferguson. Renowned for his tenacity, intelligence, and control of midfield battles, he made over 380 appearances for United, winning six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, and the UEFA Champions League in 1999. He later enjoyed a distinguished spell with Newcastle United, captaining the club and surpassing 100 Premier League appearances, before finishing his playing career with Birmingham City. After retiring, Nicky moved into coaching and leadership, returning to Manchester United as Head of Academy, where he helped develop the club’s next generation.

He made 958 club appearances, including 572 in the Premier League — the highest total for a goalkeeper — representing Watford, Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Ham, Manchester City, and Portsmouth. David won the League Cup with Liverpool in 1994/95 and famously lifted the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2007/08.
