Shane Byrne
Known to race fans as “Shakey”, Shane is one of the most celebrated British motorcycle racers in history. A Londoner, Shane began his career in motocross before transitioning to road racing. Renowned for his fearless riding style and tactical prowess, he made his mark in the British Superbike Championship, where he holds the record for the most championship titles, with six victories (2003, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2017). Shakey also competed in the World Superbike Championship and had a stint in MotoGP, showcasing his versatility and adaptability. His career was brought to a halt in 2018 following a serious crash during testing, but his resilience and determination remain inspirational. Off the track, Byrne is a sought-after commentator and mentor, contributing his expertise to the next generation of riders. Since retiring Shane has established a new sports management consultancy business with fellow TV presenter Matt Roberts to mentor and progress young motorcycle racers, including superbike racer Bradley Ray, who continues to go from strength to strength. His legacy as a motorcycling legend endures, both in the UK and internationally.
Bradley Ray
Bradley is a highly skilled racer who rose to prominence in the British Superbike Championship (BSB). After starting in Moto3, he made his mark in BSB with his first win in 2017, going on to dominate the 2022 season, claiming the championship with multiple victories and podiums. Ray then moved to the World Superbike Championship with Motoxracing Yamaha, gaining valuable international experience in 2023–24. In 2025, he made a high-profile return to BSB with Raceways Yamaha, delivering one of his strongest campaigns to date. He opened the season with a stunning run of victories — including eight consecutive wins — and collected the Datatag Fast Start Award for his consistently explosive launches. Despite narrowly missing the title, finishing runner-up, Ray reaffirmed his status as one of Britain’s top riders. He remains with Raceways Yamaha for the 2026 season, continuing to be a major force in the sport.
