Birmingham Bears v Worcestershire Rapids 2022 – Edgbaston

In our Wyatt Suite lounge there was brilliant hospitality on offer for 2022’s match-up between the Birmingham Bears and the Worcestershire Rapids in the Vitality Blast T20 Northern Group. With the entertaining and knowledgeable Dom Sibley the special guest in our lounge for the day, our guests enjoyed some terrific food and drink thanks to our hosts at Edgbaston as well as the top class cricketing chat. It was a great occasion with fantastic cricket and great hospitality and an enjoyable time was had by all.

On the field an incredible match played out as the Bears recorded the highest ever T20 Blast winning margin against their rivals with a supreme century by Adam Hose helping them to a very strong total of 228-8 after being put in to bat. In response the Rapids, who were not enjoying their best season up until that point, struggled their way to only 84 all out. Bowling figures for the Birmingham Bears also made very good reading for them, with Danny Briggs taking 4 for 26, Jake Lintott 2 for 12 and Olly Stone 2 for 17. The result left the Bears are on the verge of qualification to the quarter-final, with the Rapids meanwhile sitting bottom of the table and probably wishing the T20 Blast season would come to a very swift end.
