Vitality Blast T20 Finals Day 2022

One of the most action-packed days on the sporting calendar, Vitality Blast T20 Finals day is a feast of cricket with two semi-finals and the Final taking place in one epic day of big hitting, thrills and spills! The Wyatt Suite was packed as usual with cricket fans there to enjoy a day of top class hospitality whilst viewing the action out in the middle from the private balcony seating. Guests had the opportunity to hear from three cricket legends at different points of the day as current England and Essex star Dan Lawrence and former England all-rounders Darren Gough and Dominic Cork joined us in the lounge.

Out in the middle the atmosphere was electric as Lancashire produced a sensational semi-final performance to pip Yorkshire in an incredibly nail-biting and high-scoring affair, with Keaton Jennings seeing the Lightning home with a brutal 75 off just 41 balls. In the second semi-final Hampshire Hawks comfortably overcame Somerset, thanks to 64 from Tom Prest and canny bowling from Nathan Ellis.

The Vitality Blast T20 Final was another absolute nail-biter, going to the very last ball of the day with the Hawks agonisingly pipping Lightning thanks to brilliant death bowling by that man Nathan Ellis again, Hawks prevailing by a single run! With the complimentary bar running for the entirety of the day we’ve no doubt there were a few sore heads in the morning!
