Vitality Blast T20 Finals Day Hospitality: The Blast T20 competition is always a high-octane marathon of big-hitting and explosive bowling, as domestic cricket matches in England go, these are always some of the most exciting and 2019 didn’t disappoint. The Wyatt Suite was, as always, sold out months in advance for T20 Finals day, with guests enjoying a comprehensive catered experience, with breakfast, a delicious Chef’s Table lunch, traditional afternoon tea, and hot rolls supper, along with a complimentary bar for the entire day. A steady flow of food and drinks is very much needed with so much cricket going on from morning till night!
We were delighted to also welcome former England captain and 2005 Ashes hero Michael Vaughan to our T20 Finals Day Hospitality alongside fiery all-rounder Darren Gough, who always has a tale or two to tell! It was great to hear from these two legends of English cricket who as well as giving there analysis of the Finals day also discussed what was a truly memorable season for the England cricket team, with a World Cup victory and a hard-fought draw in the Ashes series.
About the T20 Finals Day Cricket
Every year, T20 Finals Day features two semi-final clashes, before the big one, The Vitality T20 Blast Final. This year the competition was won for the first time by a brilliant Essex Eagles side, after a superb display with both bat and ball to overcome Derbyshire Falcons in the semis, and then Worcestershire Rapids in the final, on a day which saw two last ball finishes in three matches! The Final went right to the wire with Ravi Bopara clawing Essex back into the match with an unbeaten 36 when they looked down and out, before team-mate and captain Simon Harmer smashed 18 off just 7 deliveries to see the Eagles home.
