We are delighted to be running a celebrity online rum tasting event!
Join us as we “splice the mainbrace” and taste some delicious samples and explore the history and development of this fascinating spirit with entertaining facts and anecdotes during your virtual tasting event.
The rum tasting event will be run by a leading TV presenter, who will co-ordinate proceedings throughout the online event. This will be a really fun, interactive event, where you and your guests will get to sample some great rum and hear some brilliant stories, which is sure to impress all of your attendees.
Our Rum Partner
Our rum partner will supply a premium tasting pack before the online tasting event to each of the attendees to include six different 5 cl samples (a double measure), along with details of all of the different rums selected. They will talk about the rich and varied range of rum styles found in the Caribbean, Central and South America which reflect the region’s diversity and culture. From light, perfect for cocktail making, to golden, aged or spiced rums that are great for sipping, this diverse and varied spirit is deservedly gaining popularity amongst a wider audience.
Potential Guest Speakers for your Celebrity Online Rum Tasting Event
We are delighted to offer three fabulous sporting names below who are all of fans of rum. With our wide network of contacts from the sporting and entertainment worlds, we can also organise a variety of other names, so please contact us for any other ideas.
– David Haye (Boxing): David won 28 of his 32 professional fights, 26 of these by knock out. He became a unified cruiserweight world champion in 2008, winning three of the four major world titles, as well as the Ring magazine and lineal titles. In the same year he moved up to heavyweight, winning the WBA title in 2009 after defeating Nikolai Valuev, who had a size advantage of 23 cm in height and 45 kg in weight over Haye. Along with Evander Holyfield, Haye is one of only two boxers in history to have unified the cruiserweight world titles and become a world heavyweight champion. Haye founded his own boxing promotional firm in 2008 and currently manages Dereck Chisora, as well as being a regular TV pundit.
– Dwight Yorke (Football): Will always be remembered for his amazing three years at Manchester United, where he won three Premier League titles, an FA Cup and the Champions League. He went on to score 65 goals in 152 games for the club, winning the Premier League Golden Boot in 1998-99. He played 72 times for Trinidad & Tobago, helping them to their first ever World Cup in 2006. He is now a TV pundit on Sky Sports.
– Gladstone Small (Cricket): Played 17 test matches for England, taking 55 wickets, including 5-48 against Australia where he won the man of the match award. He also played 53 One Day Internationals for England, took an incredible 852 first class wickets and went on to be a key figure within the Professional Cricketer’s Association. He is a great character and a big fan of rum, so is sure to add some great fun to your event!
